Phil Hook is an Austin/Wimberley based multi-faceted artist. He is foremost an accomplished
international studio and touring drummer. But his talents are not limited to the drums. Phil is a
record producer, songwriter, and visual artist. While he currently tours and records with High
Desert Queen, Hook has played stages all over the world with a variety of bands and artists of
multiple genres.
Those who have seen Phil in concert will attest that he is quite a force on the stage. Hook is
also at home in the studio. For three decades he has been privileged to record at multiple
studios with an array of talented musicians, artists, producers, and engineers. His memorable
recording experiences include working at Yellow Dog, Abbey Road, Fonogenic, The Chapel,
Red Nova, King Electric, Fischer, TRC, Azmyth, Amusement Park, Matador.
